Six suspects arrested in Richards Bay police operation

The Richards Bay proactive SAPS team, Vala Mgodi, on Sunday arrested six illegal immigrants in eSikhaleni.

All suspects were charged with contravention of the Immigration Act, and are due to appear at the eSikhawini Magistrate’s Court soon.

King Cetshwayo Cluster police spokesperson Captain Siyanda Shangase said, in a separate operation on Saturday, the same team arrested a 32-year-old suspect in the

Mbongolwane area outside eShowe for illegal possession of a firearm and 16 live rounds of ammunition.

He said the suspect is due to appear before the eShowe Magistrate’s Court soon.
