One injured in N2 KwaMbonambi roll-over

A woman sustained serious injuries after the vehicle in which she was travelling overturned on the N2 on Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred just south of KwaMbonambi.

According to reports from the scene, the driver was travelling north and swerved to avoid a car which was travelling in the opposite direction and overtaking into oncoming traffic.

Mounties EMS paramedics stabilised the seriously injured motorist and rushed her to hospital for further medical care.

In the meantime, a traffic officer passing by stopped to assist.

A secondary collision occurred when a vehicle ploughed into the traffic police car.

In a separate accident later in the day, another vehicle overturned on the N2 near Mtunzini.

Mounties EMS attended to the accident, and the occupants were treated on scene before being taken to hospital with minor injuries.
