Walk in Faith school lunch project needs support

Local charity appeals for donations towards school lunch programme this term

WITH school back in full swing for term four, local charity Walk in Faith is appealing to sponsors and donors to support their school lunches project which feeds children nutritious meals daily.

As many of the young beneficiaries rely on Walk in Faith for their lunch – sometimes their only meal of the day – the organisation is collecting items to make school lunches-simple, nourishing, and packed with care.

The items needed include bread and spreads (peanut butter, jam, cheese), fruit, juice boxes, biscuits, snacks and lunch bags.

Charity founder Merinda Ackerman said every donation helps a child learn, grow, and feel cared for, ensuring no child goes to class with an empty stomach.
