‘Business bully’ nabbed in Madlankala

eSikhaleni suspect arrested in possession of a variety of firearms, ammunition

A man believed to have been tormenting business people in and around eSikhaleni was arrested on Tuesday last week.

The suspect (29) was arrested by eSikhaleni Crime Prevention, detectives and the King Cetshwayo Task Team, and found in possession of illegal firearms.

King Cetshwayo Cluster police spokesperson Captain Siyanda Shangase said SAPS members reacted to a tip-off that led them to a house in Madlankala where the suspect was found in possession of 13 short gun live rounds, 8 live rounds of ammunition for an R5 rifle, 20 live rounds of ammunition for a .303 rifle, 5 live pistol rounds, and 27 rounds of ammunition for a 7.65 pistol.

“The suspect appeared at eSikhawini Magistrate’s Court and was remanded in custody for a formal bail hearing this Thursday,” said Shangase.
