Empangeni lifeguards to join Daredevil Run

Local lifeguards join cause to raise awareness and funds for the fight against prostate and testicular cancers

In a bold show of support for men’s health, Empangeni swimming pool lifeguards will join thousands of men across the country this Friday for the annual Daredevil Run.

This is an initiative to raise awareness and funds for the fight against prostate and testicular cancers.

The nationwide event encourages participants to run through their towns wearing only purple speedos, symbolising courage and solidarity in confronting men’s health issues.

Funds raised through the Daredevil Run go towards providing free cancer screenings for men who otherwise lack access to testing, as well as supporting research, awareness, and education around prostate and testicular cancers.
