Local radio flyers celebrate Johan Grobler's birthday, call for more people to join the club

Empangeni Radio Flyers celebrated the 70th birthday of member Johan Grobler over the weekend at the Empangeni airfield.

The Empangeni Radio Flyers specialise in flying remote controlled model aeroplanes and meet most weekends.

Birthday boy Johan, nicknamed Grobbie, has enjoyed the hobby for nine years.

The club calls on more high flyers to join. Club membership is an annual fee of R1 200 a year.
