Khula Village to host empowering youth workshop this Saturday

Youth aged 10-25 are invited to Saturday's Youth with a Purpose workshop in Khula Village for life-skills and inspiration

THE youth of the greater Mtubatuba area are invited to attend a Youth with a Purpose workshop tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

The event will be held from 1pm to 4.30pm at Khulanomathiya Community Hall in Khula Village outside St Lucia, and will include praise and worship, and inspiring speakers sharing God’s word, with some snacks and refreshments.

Everyone aged 10 to 25 is invited to learn how to live with purpose.

Guest speakers

  • Department of Health representatives talking about HIV, STDs and healthy lifestyle choices
  • A local social worker who will share about substance abuse awareness and the myths surrounding children’s grants
  • LifeLine Zululand whose staff will highlight GBV and rape awareness, and provide information on vital support services
  • SAPS, speaking about crime prevention and making good choices
  • Councillor Ntokozo who will provide valuable information on skills development and career guidance
  • Local boxing coach, Coach Gumede, will talk about discipline, fitness and goal setting, and will include a demonstration from his boxers.

Prizes are up for grabs during each question and answer segment, and the day will end on an uplifting note with praise and worship.
