EHS-DUT sport festival off to flying start

Empangeni High School hosts three-day festival, running from 26 to 28 June, bringing together 23 schools from KZN, Gauteng and Mpumalanga

The fourth annual Empangeni High School (EHS) and Durban University of Technology (DUT) Social Cohesion Tournament got off to an exciting start on Friday, with the opening day packed with thrilling sporting action and a vibrant atmosphere.

The three-day festival, running from 26 to 28 June, has brought together 23 schools from KZN, Gauteng and Mpumalanga to compete in soccer and netball during the winter school holidays, showcasing some of the country’s emerging sporting talent.

An action packed sport festival under way at Empangeni High School

The tournament continues to provide a platform for learners to display their skills, foster friendships and promote social cohesion through sport.

Zululanders are encouraged to attend the festival and support the young athletes as they battle for top honours in what promises to be an entertaining weekend of school sport.
