MiIford FC secure first premiership victory

Milford FC secure win against Siwelele FC at the uMhlathuze Stadium

The fans of the Stallions arrived cold and nervous but left warm and ecstatic after a superb, hard-fought win over Siwelele FC at the uMhlathuze Stadium on Wednesday night.

Milford survived a bit of a beating playing against the near gale force wind in the first half, but in full survival mode they threw their bodies at everything to deny the rampant visitors.

With no score at the break, the home side began to assert their authority and the match was settled with a super goal, initiated and finished off by Menzi Cele with a quarter hour left on the clock.

The 1-0 score line brought with it three valuable Betway Premiership points and presents a great launching pad for the rest of the campaign.
