Successful fundraiser supports hospice care
Zululand Hospice Association holds a successful fundraiser at Moth Hall
The Zululand Hospice Association’s recent fundraising campaign received overwhelming support from the Empangeni community to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of its patients.
The fundraiser, held at the Moth Hall last month, featured a popular potjiekos competition that attracted enthusiastic participants and supporters.

Zululand Hospice Association’s Engela Borlase thanked the Moths for generously providing the venue, and expressed her appreciation to all the teams who showcased their delicious potjies.
These included curried venison, seafood with ciabatta, biltong, ostrich, and sweet and sour potjies.
“We are also incredibly grateful to all our vendors for their support and to the wonderful Empangeni community for coming out to support this fundraiser. Your generosity and encouragement mean so much to us,” said Borlase.

She also extended special thanks to the day’s sponsors and donors, including West Pack, SPAR 5Five Ways and PetZone, for their valued contributions.
“Together, you have helped make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. Thank you for your kindness and generosity,” said Borlase.
