ECR to broadcast live from Richards Bay for blood drive

South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to host live-broadcast blood drives across KZN to combat critical shortages.

East Coast Radio’s breakfast team will be in Richards Bay, broadcasting live from Netcare The Bay Hospital on Friday, 23 October for the SANBS mobile blood drive betweem 6am and 4pm.

Darren Maule, Carmen Reddy and Sky Tshabalala frequently partner with the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to host live-broadcast blood drives across KZN to combat critical shortages.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donations and encourage community members to play their part in saving lives.

Locals can join the activities planned throughout the day, and are urged to donate blood.

Each blood donation can help save up to three lives, and ensure hospitals have sufficient stock for patients in need.
