Groenewald and Jughdis win charity golf day

Round Table raises money for SADGA and the Able Centre Richards Bay.

CHARL Groenewald and partner Jackson Jughdis managed a 18-hole round filled with pars and birdies which resulted in 47 points to drive away with a win at the Round Table uMhlathuze 261 charity golf competition on Saturday.

Hosted in conjunction with Bell Equipment and the South African Disabled Golf Association (SADGA), the event was played at the Richards Bay Country Club, where golfers followed a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford format.

A total of R10 000 was raised and donated to SADGA.

The funds raised from the hole-in-one competition were donated to the Able Center in Richards Bay, which tallied to R5 000.

Results

1 Charl Groenewald and Jackson Jughdis 47 points, 2 Clive Watson and Rodney Cheek 45 points and 3 Deena Naicker and Brian Goddard 45 points.
