uThungulu District Eliminations Games kick off tomorrow

Loads of sporting action in Richards Bay on Saturday.

OVER 1000 sport players will compete in the uThungulu District Eliminations Games on Saturday to secure their spot to represent Team uThungulu at the 2015 South African Local Government¬ Association (Salga) KwaZulu-Natal Games hosted by Ilembe District Municipality in December.

The athletes from uThungulu’s six local municipalities – City of uMhlathuze, Mthonjaneni, uMfolozi, Ntambanana, Nkandla and uMlalazi will participate in several sport codes namely football, cricket, netball, basketball, volleyball, rugby, swimming, karate and boxing.

The fixtures for the team sports were announced at a launch briefing on Thursday at uThungulu House and will see uMfolozi verse Ntabananana, uMhlathuze verse Mthonjaneni and uMlalazi verse Nkandla in the streams A and B.
