Plenty action at District Games

A total of 1 245 athletes competed

LOCAL municipalities competed in various sporting codes at the King Cetshwayo District Elimination Games held on Saturday at the uMhlathuze Regional Sports Complex, with the hopes of being selected for the King Cetshwayo squad that will compete at provincial level next month.

The municipalities competing were Nkandla, Mthonjaneni, uMlalazi, uMfolozi and the City of uMhlathuze.

A total of 1 245 athletes competed in boxing, cricket, chess, dance, football, indigenous games, karate, netball, rugby, swimming, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.
