Christmas for children

The smiles written on the faces of more than 80 children at KwaThema Stimulation Centre were the only signs that showed their happiness and joy.

As the country was celebrating the day of reconciliation on Monday, children at the KwaThema Stimulation Centre also celebrated the day with the Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa.

On the day Pule Malefane, consul general celebrated by donating food parcels and toys to children at the centre.

Malefane said because of his love for children he wants to ensure that despite their family backgrounds and their disability they also enjoy Christmas like other children in the country.

He said he believes that working with the charity centres through donating the little that he has is what God wants him to do. Adding that his visit to the centre was not the first time and that he will continue sharing love and care with others especial during the festive season.

He concluded by wishing children and the staff at the centre a happy festive season and a happy new year. Ward Councillor, Wilson Busakwe could not hide his excitement after spending time with the children and the staff at the centre. He said children need to be shown love and care at all times.

Centre manager and founder, Miriam Ndebele thanked Malefane for what he has done for the children from the centre. “He made my children feel special and appreciated,” said Ndebele.

She also thanked all other businesses and the non profit organisations that have been there for the centre when they needed them the most. Ndebele also wished her staff and all their sponsors a happy festive season and a prosperous new year.
