Principal retires
Micheal Zulu Primary School in Tsakane ended the year off with an emotional send off for their principal Joel Vilane and teacher Delight Msiza.
The event was attended by fellow teachers, school governing body members, principals and friends as they bid farewell to their colleagues.
A brief history of accolades and the contributions of the principal had many people in the audience inspired and motivated.
Joel has been working at the school as an educator since 1997 and went on to become the principal until his retirement.
Fellow teacher Delight Msiza, who has been at the school since it was first opened in 1988, was also given a fitting farewell.
“I will always remember the wonderful children and the joy they have brought to my life,” she said.
Teachers and children describe both teachers as loving and dedicated to their profession.
To help celebrate the send off Tshipi Noto Funeral Home donated a tent, red carpet and water for the occasion.
The school’s new principal Lindiwe Lu-en Vilakazi expressed her gratitude to the exited members.
“We have learnt so much from you, this day will always remain close to our hearts,” she said.
The two will venture into different things and hope to spend more time with their families.
