Seven distinctions for Kwatsaduza student
Lehlohonolo David Mashaba (19) says 2013 is a year that he will always remember.
Lehlohonolo, from Tsakane, passed his matric with flying colours. He got distinctions in all seven subjects that he was doing at Reshogofaditshwe Senior Secondary School in Tsakane. The 19-year-old says he believes that hard work and the motivation from his teachers were the only things that made him believe in himself and kept him focused on his studies. He says receiving textbooks at the right time at his school also helped him to start learning from the first day of school. Lehlohonolo appreciates the fact that his teachers sacrificed their time with extra, weekend and holiday classes, to ensure their students’ success. He says his great achievement comes after hard work and praying to God to help and guide him throughout the year. Sharing his secret with the class of 2014, Lehlohonolo says staying away from friends and using all the time available to study are the most important things that contributed positively to his great achievement. He thanked his teachers and family for also believing in him and always being there for him when he needed their guidance and help. Lehlohonolo will be studying a BSc in mathematics at the University of Pretoria this year.
