Veteran golfer dies
Jockey 'Bra Mokoena' Rachite (74) passed away at his home on February 13, after a long illness.

He was born in Winterveld (Tshwane) and moved to Pyneville as a young boy before settling in KwaThema were he lived till his death.
Jockey started working at the Springs Country Club in 1960 as a caddy master.
He then founded the Zafa Golf Club in the 1970s, which was the first golf club in the township.
His love for golf led him to grow, nurture and drive the club which accommodated black players and allowed them to access spaces not previously open to them.
Jockey, through his club, hosted the annual charity golf day competition, which attracted players from different parts of the country.
He retired in 1995 due to illness.
The funeral starts at 9am tomorrow at Faith Mission Church in Masimini KwaThema before leaving for the Vlakfontein Cemetery. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
