DA in Tsakane

One of the biggest opposition parties in South Africa, the Democratic Alliance took its election campaign to Tsakane Extension Eight on Saturday.

The party, led by the DA’s Ekurhuleni Metro Caucus leader, Shelley Loe, started with having a meeting with residents, listening to their problems before touring around the streets of the township.

Residents were given a chance to voice the problems that they encounter in their area.

Poppy Majola, one of the residents complained about the bad state of Nyanyankulu Street which, she says, has had pools of stagnant water in it for more than five years that posses danger to their lives, especially the children.

Residents also complained about the bad roads that, when it rained, makes it difficult for them to walk or drive along.

Responding to their problems, Loe said she would mention all their problems during the next council meeting.
