Caswell Gxowa, founder of Caswell Stop Men Abuse Movement, says they have noticed that unemployment has a direct influence on a lot of male abuse cases.
The organisation unveiled its banner on Tuesday, during a workshop hosted at the Council Chambers (old Customer Care Centre) in KwaThema.
The event was a collaboration between the Stop Men Abuse Movement, Department of Community Safety and Make It Count Youth Development.
Caswell said they assist men in court, giving them guidance with domestic abuse cases.
He added that the organisation focuses on married couples, and is opposed to both men and women abuse.
“We are pleased with the new private courts in Springs, that are used for cases involving married couples,” Caswell said.
The organisation and members of the public meet on Thursdays, at the Council Chamber, where they get an opportunity to interact with magistrates who assist with cases.
