Blessed to Bless donates school uniforms
Blessed to Bless donated school uniforms to learners from various schools in Kwatsaduza at Tlakilas Secondary School.
The non-profit organization Blessed to Bless assists learners with receiving a quality education and donates items that are needed.
One of the founders of the organization Elphias Nkosi says the aim of the organization is to provide disadvantaged learners with school uniforms so that they are not singled out as struggling learners.
He says the organization has also identified a student in matric who will be sent to university to further her studies.
Nkosi says parents need to work hand in hand with the school and not give the school full responsibility over the learners.
During the event treasurer of the organization, Bongane Ntshangase, said they will be getting information on tertiary education for students during the year and also taking them to the open days of different universities so they can be informed on the educational facility they may choose to attend.
Lawrence Xubu, chairperson of the school governing body of Tlakula Secondary School, says learners need to prioritise education and stop prioritising their social lives.
He told the parents to open their childrens books everyday and find out if the child is progressing on a daily basis and not only act at a later stage.
The event ended with the organization handing out school uniforms to different learners from different school in Kwatsaduza.
