Netball star heads to nationals
Palesa Mbukwana (26), who is currently living in KwaThema, discovered her talent for netball in 2004, at Nigel High School.
Early this year she played for a team called the Sun Birds, in Mpumalanga, before heading for the provincial netball trials on February 14, at Middelburg.
She says she will be heading for the 2015 Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League, which will be staged at the University of Pretoria’s Sports Campus, from May 8 to June 7.
Mbukwana explains that she has been practising on a weekly basis, in preparation for the trials.
“I hope to be selected for the top 30 SA netball players,” she says.
According to Mbukwana, the trials will be televised on Supersport 10, on Dstv.
She currently plays for the Spartans netball team, in KwaThema.
