Mnguni was found guilty of raping a 65-year-old woman in Duduza in 2012, and was sentenced on Monday.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora explains Mnguni was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
“We believe the sentence will send a strong message to rapists,” says Ramphora.
