Kuso gives back
KwaThema - Kutlwano Social Organisation (KUSO) in partnership with other NPOs donated food parcels, school shoes and blankets to the less privileged, at the KwaThema Community Hall, last Sunday.
The organisation is continuing in the spirit of giving back following Nelson Mandela Day.
KUSO, with their sponsors, donated 300 blankets and food hampers to senior citizens and disabled citizens of KwaThema and school shoes to children from 13 different schools around Kwatsaduza.
School principals were tasked to identify learners who were less fortunate and needed school shoes.
Chairperson of KUSO, Dali Mofokeng (56), says this is a course that they have adopted and will continue to do on a yearly basis.
“Our organisation wants to make a difference in the community by giving back and assisting where we can,” says Mofokeng.
Lydia Mabuza (69), explained how important it is to not forget the people who are physically challenged and can not do things for themselves.
“We appreciate the gesture of kindness from the various organisations and companies, who saw the need to donate blankets and food parcels to us,” says Mabuza.
