Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the man was at a friend’s house when a group of men stormed inside.
One of the suspects attacked the man with a brick, hitting him in the face.
Ramphora says the group fled after the assault without stealing anything from the house.
No arrests have been made and police are investigating a case of assault.
