Woman in court after lying about hijacking

Pollak Park - A 40-year-old woman from Pollak Park appeared in the Springs Magistrate Court on Monday for perjury.

She opened a false case of hijacking a few weeks ago.

Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says after investigations, police found that the suspect had given her car to someone she owes money to.

Ramphora explains the woman, who is out on bail, is expected back in court on August 21.
