Man loses finger after being accused of stealing

Tsakane - A man was arrested after he allegedly chopped off another man's finger, last Thursday.

The 53-year-old man, from Tsakane Extension Six, is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Tsakane police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza says the suspect accused the victim of stealing his tool box.

He then, allegedly, cut off the victim’s finger.

Mabuza says the suspect will appear before the Tsakane Magistrates Court soon, for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
