Restoring dignity to young women

Duduza - Duduzekani Tshidisehang Community Projects donated sanitary towels to more than 50 girls and young women in the community in commemoration of Women's Month.

The organisation was established three years ago by young people who wanted to help the community of Kwatsaduza through donations and fighting crime.

Katiso Ranthla from the organisation says the sanitary towels were handed over to the recipients at an event on Saturday at NN Ndebele Secondary School.

Not only was the donation done in commemoration of Women’s Month, but the organisation also views it as a way of restoring the girls’ dignity.

Ranthla explains this was not the first time they have donated to the community.

“We have been donating to many different people in Kwatsaduza,”says Ranthla.

He adds the organisation will continue to show love and care by helping where they can.
