Three men wanted in attempted murder case

Springs – A man was shot and injured in Payneville on Saturday.

According to Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, the victim was on his way to a tuck shop to buy paraffin at around 9.30am, when he met three unknown suspects along Majola Street.

The suspects asked the victim why he was looking at them.

Before the victim could even answer, one of the suspect’s took out a firearm and shot the victim on his right arm and on the left hand side of his waist.

A member of the CPF in the area called the police and an ambulance.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is still in hospital.

A case of attempted murder has been opened at the Springs Police Station but no arrests have been made.

Police are still investigating and were unable to confirm the ages of the victim or the suspects.
