Albert Luthuli Primary 2B officially opened

Daveyton - On Wednesday the mayor of Ekurhuleni Clr Mondli Gungubele joined Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, Gauteng Premier, David Makhura, Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi and Nandi Mayathula Khoza to officially open the Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School 2B in Daveyton.

The R92.9-million school was built to alleviate the overcrowding at Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School No1 and accommodate learners from the nearby farm school, Bapsfontein Primary School.

Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School 2B is one of the first schools to introduce paperless classrooms and use green technology, with specific emphasis on energy efficiency.

The school will be recorded as the first school to usher in digital migration and e-learning in township schools across Gauteng.

Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School boasts 33 smart classrooms, consisting of Grade R, foundation and intermediate and senior phase.
