KwaThema Boyz are ready for the stage
KwaThema – Bafana Miloa (41) and Linda Skosana (31) have merged their unique music sounds to create something sensational for the masses.
Miloa formally began his musical career in 2013, when he released his first mix tape, and has never looked back.
His passion for the kwaito music scene awarded him opportunities to perform with local artists such as Arthur, Zahara and Chomie, among others, on various occasions.
On the other hand, Skosana started his career with a kwaito group called Diesel in 1997.
The musicians then went their separate ways in 2001 and in the following year Skosana ventured into hip-hop as a solo artist and music producer.

“We have known each other for years but only started working together in November, creating KwaThema Boyz.
“At the time Miloa was also working as a solo artist, hence we decided to come together and do one thing,” explains Skosana.
In this new relationship, Skosana’s role includes rapping, producing and writing songs while Miloa sings, writes songs and composes.
The pair have also broadened their sound from kwaito and hip-hop to include house.
They believe what makes it different is the instruments they use which give their sound a jazz element.
KwaThema Boyz have so far released three tracks on iTunes and YouTube and have registered five with Samro, the South African Music Rights Organisation.

“We are, however, looking at soon making more of our songs downloadable on platforms where people can access them.
“One reason why we have not gone out to perform much is because we have only been together for a short time, but we will do it soon.
“We just ask for the community to support our music,” Miloa says.
The two are confident that they are ready to share the stage with well-known artists and say they are willing to perform live at local pubs.
