Mayoral Kings of Diski Challenge
Mayoral Kings of Diski Challenge will see six teams battle it out for the R190000 cash prize at Tsakane Stadium.
Tsakane – It’s the clash of the titans – Mayoral Kings of Diski Challenge 2018 is on this long weekend.
The battle lines are drawn and the local soccer teams from Ekurhuleni are ready to go head-to-head for the prestigious Mayoral Kings of Diski Challenge.
The tournament will be held at Tsakane Stadium on April 27 to 29.
A draw to determine who will play who will be on held on April 25.
The Mayoral Kings of Diski Challenge is an initiative that determines the best of the best team from the individual tournament champions emanating from local tournaments.
There are seven major soccer tournaments held during the festive season in Ekurhuleni, and the teams that win in those tournaments get to play in this challenge.
Amandla FC won the Philly’s Games in Tembisa.
Aston Villa FC won the Kathorus Games in Katlehong.
Overland FC won the Vostoc Diski nine-nine in Vosloorus.
Wattville United FC came out tops in the Imbewu Enhle Tournament and Wattville Festive Games.
Ditlou FC took the Pollen Ndlanya Game in Daveyton and Bazingeli FC from Langaville won the Defy Ekurhuleni Goodwill Games.
The overall winner will walk away with R190 000, a trophy and gold medals.
The runners-up will receive R90 000 and silver medals.
The four other teams will walk away with a R20 000 participation fee.
Free tickets for the event will be available at the KwaThema, Tsakane and Duduza customer care centres.
