Zamani Primary School learners receive new school uniforms

New uniforms and party packs for learners.

KwaThema – Mikateko Community Development Organisation had a school uniform handover on Wednesday afternoon in Bottom Street.

It donated school uniforms and party packs to the learners of Zamani Primary School who come from disadvantaged families and are beneficiaries of the organisation.

The organisation normally meets with the identified learners, who are beneficiaries, after school.

Members of the organisation, Zamani learners, parents and members of the community.

In their meetings members of the organisation teach the learners reading, writing and arithmetic skills.

They also focus on uplifting young women and children living in the community.

Every community development project headed by the organisation has been made possible by the National Lotteries Commission’s (NLC) donation of R138 000.

The NLC aims to improve and make a difference in the lives of all the beneficiaries of the organisation.

It helps the organisation to identify areas which are in greatest need in the community to help them make a difference.
