Local church starts community soup kitchen to help children from disadvantaged community
Local church encourages the community to help in doing more for the children of Extension Three, KwaThema.
KwaThema- The United Methodist Church of Southern Africa has embarked on a journey to feed children from disadvantaged backgrounds in KwaThema
Reverend Nkosentsha Majeke, the presiding pastor of the church, says just after he became presiding pastor of the church last year, he and church members discovered there are many children from disadvantaged backgrounds living in the area. Thus they wanted to do something that will benefit them and help make their lives easier.
This is how the idea of having a soup kitchen at the church came about.
