Sandile makes it to the top 16 of Idols

Sandile holds a Bsc Honors Degree in Applied Mathematics from University of Johannesburg.

Tsakane – The 26-year-old superstar, Sandile Skosana from Tsakane, has made it to the top 16 round in the Idols South Africa 2018 season 14.

This was after he was returned to the competition by the SA Idols judges after being cut out during the elimination round.

Sandile holds a BSc Honors degree in applied mathematics from the University of Johannesburg.

He took a second shot in the competition after one of the judges, Unathi Msengana, gave him a lifeline to retain him to participate in the competition.

She strongly believed the young man was worthy of being in the top 16.

Sandile’s mother, Johanna Skosana (89), expressed her excitement and happiness that her son has been given an opportunity to show the world his talent.

“He has been discipline and goal-orientated since he was young.

“I started noticing his talent and the love he has for music when he was in Grade One.

“His favourite instrument has always been a guitar,” she says.

“The family is happy about him making it this far in the competition, and we will continue to support him,” he says.

Chief whip Clr Jongizizwe Dlabathi congratulated the young man saying he has shown massive resilience and fought very hard in reaching this far.

“He’s an epitome of excellence many young people admire.

“We urge all the residents of Ekurhuleni to continue to give support to this local superstar and to participate in the voting process by voting for him when the voting period commences, ” he added.
