The course aimed at educating the coaches about the sport and how they can use it to improve the lives of young players. The president of KwaThema Sports Confederation, Innocent Mayoyo, says 20 coaches from the area attended the course.

“At the end of the course, the attendees received an NQF level 4 certificate.

“We appreciate the support of the institutes to educate the local coaches because these are the skills and knowledge they needed to successfully manage the teams.

“They were also trained in a physical component, leadership, and the importance of planning training sessions,” he explains.

Mayoyo says those who were able to attend the sessions will impart the skills with those who couldn’t. “The skills are very important to move local football forward and ensure that local players graduate to the next level of their sporting career.
