Buddah Brothers taking over KwaThema one golfer at a time

KwaThema – Two brothers from KwaThema are using fashion to empower themselves.
Koketso and Lehlohonolo Buda, owners of Buddah Brothers, are using their talents and passion to make a living.
The brothers, who do not have formal qualifications in fashion are making waves with their colourful designs and innovative styling.
The siblings, who have styled singer Simphiwe Dana’s band, are working on releasing a fashion range in 2019.

They currently self golf shirts and custom-made pants in addition to providing styling services to their clients.
They started their business after getting multiple compliments on their outfits.
The fashion-forward pair says they design their pieces and their uncle sews them.
The duo says it is important for the community to support them because the success of their business will be an example to youth that one can make it in life without resorting to crime.
They say the reception of their products has been overwhelming and they hope to secure funding to grow their business.

“We want to use some of the money for marketing and to rent stalls at pop-up stores and social markets,” they explained.
They also want to increase their production as there is a great demand for their product.
A cash injection, they say, would enable them to improve their business by producing more garments.
