Sibusiso Magazi from Phulong Secondary School’s matric class of 2018 says his great results came as no surprise to him.

Kwathema – Sibusiso Magazi from Phulong Secondary School’s matric class of 2018 says his great results came as no surprise to him.

Magazi achieved seven distinctions in Zulu, English, maths, life orientation, life sciences, geography and physical sciences.

“I was very persistent in my hard work last year but have been producing these kind of marks throughout my school career,”he says.

He intends to study medicine at the University of Witwatersrand and is still looking for funding.

“I am waiting for a response from NSFAS and would appreciate any form of bursary or scholarship,” he adds.

Sibusiso says he is inspired by his mother and grandmother.

“They are very supportive of me and gave me great advice throughout the year,” he concludes.
