1 600 pairs of school shoes donated at James Nkosi Primary School

Krush has planned to donate 20 000 school shoes throughout the country during the Krush Goodness campaign.

Duduza – James Nkosi Primary School was visited by Clover Krush Fruit Juice on January 24, who came to donate over 1 600 school shoes for all the learners of the primary school.

Assistant brand manager of Krush, Mathapelo Mofokeng, says they were happy to be at the school to share the goodness.

“Krush Fruit Juice is filled with goodness and we thought we should share the goodness outwards by giving school shoes because there are children who walk to school or those that have shoes that are not in a good condition. This is our way of alleviating that burden for them,” says Mofokeng.

The shoes were donated to the school after a competition where a school had to be nominated and voted for by the public.

Media personality Dineo Ranaka was also present at the school to help hand out the shoes to the learners.

Speaking to them she says, “Education is important. If you stay in school, you will want for nothing because you will be able to wake up and get yourself anything you want.”

Ranaka says she took part in the campaign because it is aligned with her personal values.

“I am a mother and I know what it is like to be without.

“My thing is to help restore joy and dignity, especially for children and Krush holds those values,” she says.

Principal of James Nkosi Primary School Nkosana Vala says he is overwhelmed with joy.

“I am so happy. We have received donations before but not of this magnitude.

“We have always had the difficult task of identifying the most wanting and deserving learners but this time, we do not have to do that because all our learners will be getting a pair of shoes,” says a beaming Vala.
