The modelling space is often associated with glitz and glam, but people often forget that it takes discipline and hard work to have a sustainable career within the industry.

Tshepo says he usually wakes up at 3am to be on set.

“Waking up at 3am to be on set for 5am is not a child’s play, but I am woken up by passion and not by money.”

He is urging up-and-coming models to use social media such as Instagram to their advantage to attract a fan base.

According to him, having a professional photographer on your team is essential to producing a quality, professional-looking portfolio.

“To those who are considering being in the modelling industry, they must take extremely good pictures and hire professional photographers.

“If you have pictures of good quality, it improves your chances of a being signed by an agent,” says Tshepo.
