Police swoop on two drug dealers
“On searching the pair, 42 nyaope packets, 16 ziplocks of dagga, seven dagga fingers and 35 newspaper-wrapped dagga packets, were found.”
Duduza – Two men aged 24 and 26, and suspected to be dealing in nyaope and dagga, have been arrested in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R5 000. The arrest took place on Wednesday morning.
EMPD spokesperson Supt Wilfred Kgasago says the suspects were arrested by the EMD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) at the intersection of Linda and Nala streets following a tip off.

“On searching the pair, 42 nyaope packets, 16 ziplocks of dagga, seven dagga fingers and 35 newspaper-wrapped dagga packets, were found.
“The unit members also confiscated cash amounting to R550 believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics,” he says.

The pair was charged with possession and dealing in narcotics at the Duduza police station.
“They are expected to appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court,” says Kgasago.
