Vehicle stolen in Soweto recovered in Duduza

Duduza – A blue Toyota Corolla which was stolen in Orlando West in Soweto on Monday night was recovered by members of the Germiston Flying Squad in Masechaba, Duduza, on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday the police were patrolling the streets of Duduza when they spotted the vehicle.

Germiston Flying Squad communications officer Const Ntombikayise Ngcobo says the police spotted the vehicle that fits the description that was given to them via SAPS radio.

“They stopped and conducted their investigation and discovered it is the same vehicle that was stolen.

“There was no one on the premises where the vehicle was parked and neighbours informed the police that the owner of the house was visiting his relatives in KwaZulu-Natal for a week now.

“It’s alleged the perpetrators abandoned the vehicle at the residential because it didn’t have any security gate,” she says.

The blue Toyota corolla has been booked in at SAPS storage in Benoni.
