KwaThema – KwaThema police spokesperson Const Media Khoza has been recognised for her hard work during the National Excellence Awards from the National Commissioner, Khehla Sitole, in PE on Sunday.
She is a member of the Ekurhuleni East Zone Local Organising Committee.
In her line of work and need to improve her community, she acquired a sponsorship of R12 000 from Sanlam to renovate the Station Victim Empowerment Centre.

She also arranged a sponsorship for people with disabilities in Nyakale Street in KwaThema, and went as far as donating R11 000 from her own pocket for a Woman Empowerment Session last year.
Khoza says she is regularly approached to perform duties other that her day to day tasks.
“I have no choice but to assist where I can for a better society I aspire to see.
“I believe if we all do a bit to improve our community a lot can be achieved,” she adds.

In 2019 she received an award for Senior Woman in Law Enforcement which were hosted by the Gauteng MEC of Community Safety, Gauteng Excellence Awards.
Khoza is also a member of the National Police Safety Committee.
She graduated from the Pretoria West Police Academy in 2008 and joined the KwaThema SAPS in 2014.
