Organisation aims to give back
Agahpeh Community Development provides educational social support programmes at John Dube Section.
Duduza – Agahpeh Community Development is a registered non-profit organisation which was established by the Professional Child and Youth Care Workers organisation in February 2019.
They provide educational social support programmes at John Dube Section.
The organisation recently donated school stationery to over 50 orphans and children from underprivileged homes within their community.
Project manager Bonginkosi Biyela says the organisation aims to work hand in hand with the community to overcome social challenges.

“We provide educational support to learners within the community.
“We assist them with school work, give tutorials and help them with homework.
“We also give talks on mental health in terms of emotional well-being, spiritual and physical wellness,” says Biyela.
“Mental health is a very important issue, which people still need to be educated on.
“We as an organisation saw a need to reach out within our communities by giving back, while also providing a platform to educate and share tools on how to deal with issues surrounding mental health.
“In December, we donated clothes to needy children in our community, which was warmly welcomed and the community got involved, which was the best part,” he adds.

The community is encouraged to get involved.
“We as the organisation like to thank all people who donated, which made the entire event possible.
“We want to reach more people, therefore, we are encouraging people to make donations, whether it is clothes, shoes, food, school supplies, we would appreciate it.
“We as the organisation strongly believe that working together, we can truly make a difference,” he says.
