Intimidation case against Sanco officer postponed to March 18

KwaThema – The case of intimidation which Ward 80 Clr Wilson Busakwe opened against Sanco local economic development officer Sipho Ndlovu has been postponed to March 18 by the KwaThema Magistrate’s Court last Friday.
This will make way for the legal teams of both parties to submit their argument before the court.
This comes after angry residents and members of Sanco, on January 4, picketed outside the KwaThema Customer Care Centre (CCC), demanding the councillor be relieved of his duties.

They also refused Busakwe access to the CCC offices.
Busakwe then opened a case of intimidation and applied for a protection order against Ndlovu.
Ndlovu says he doesn’t understand why Busakwe opened a case against him since it was the residents who demanded he steps down.
“We have every right to submit our dissatisfaction about how he is leading the ward.
“We are tired of his corrupt ways and nepotism.

“Only people within his circle are benefiting from his leadership, while our people are still unemployed even though we have projects in the area.
“We are still demanding he steps down,” Ndlovu explains.
Busakwe refused to comment on the case, saying it is a personal matter between him and Ndlovu.
“The accused and I will meet in court,” he says.
