Celebrating your birthday during the lockdown
Keep in mind you can always go big after the lockdown, once the world has conquered the pandemic of Covid-19.

For many (myself included), this isn’t how you pictured you would be celebrating your special day.
Given any big or small celebrations involving large groups, restaurants or bars will have to be put on hold for the time being.
I am going to be sharing tips on how you can go about celebrating your born day without feeling lonely, depressed, or triggering any feelings of anxiety, disappointment or even mental distress.
Keep in mind you can always go big after the lockdown, once the world has conquered the pandemic of Covid-19.
In the meantime, we are going to have to use what we can to get on with our lives, including celebrating our special days.

• Host a virtual birthday party
You can do this using Zoom or Skype by setting up a meeting and inviting all your friends and loved ones.
That way they can all sing Happy birthday to you together.
Or if your friend’s birthday or loved one’s birthday is around the corner, you could organise an online surprise party, then invite other people to join in using a link.
• Host a dance challenge, whereby everyone who is partaking can exchange videos, beating those lockdown blues.
• Learn how to bake your own cake from scratch by watching YouTube videos or cooking channels.

• Host a virtual party.
This is great for movie lovers.
Schedule a virtual watch party either on Netflix, Showmax or Showtime.
