Duduza SAPS arrests eight fir non-compliance of lockdown
Duduza SAPS hard at work to maintain law and order during the national lock down
Eleven people were arrested in Duduza during a joint operation by EMPD and SAPS on Wednesday.
Of the 11, eight were arrested for non-compliance and violation of the Disaster Management Act.
This with regards to the lockdown aimed at decreasing the spread of Covid-19.

They were arrested in different areas in Duduza after they failed to give satisfactory reasons for loitering.
The other three were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property after they were found with a TV and home appliances.
The police also assisted in handing out food parcels donated by the Coca-Cola Beverage Africa group in Nigel.

Sgt Harry Manaka, communications officer for Duduza SAPS, says about 120 families, including disabled people, received food parcels to help them during the lockdown.
