Majola family needs your help

Help the Majola family.

The Majola family consists of 21 members, all of whom are unemployed. They are dependent on social grants which are not enough to feed the entire family.

“The situation has become worse since lockdown because prior to this my sons were able to get piece jobs to contribute.

“We struggle with food and basic needs. “We are dependent on my husband and the younger grandchildren’s social grant money,” explained Gogo Elizabeth Majola.

The 59-year-old said at times they are forced to use the coal stove.

“Sometimes, we run out of electricity and have to go for days using the coal stove to cook and have hot water. “My worry is the children, especially with the coal stove,” she added.

She is appealing to the community to assist with school uniforms, shoes and stationery for her grandchildren. The family is also in need of clothes, food and blankets.

Family in desperate need

“The children sleep on the floor as we do not have sponge mattresses and have to share blankets. “My hope is for my children to get jobs so they can help out here at home,” said Majola.
