Young author reveals Famous Secret

He hopes to motivate people to speak out.

Kwatsaduza – Eighteen-year-old author Emmanuel Sithole’s book touches on love, healing and changing the narrative surrounding men’s mental health issues.
He said through the book, titled the Famous Secret (Behind the curtains), he hopes to motivate people to speak out.
“The book follows a young man who is betrayed by love and ultimately falls into depression.
“But he finds it difficult to neither speak out nor seek help.
“Which is something a lot of people battle with, speaking out or asking for help,” he said.
Sithole added through reading the book, people will understand the importance of learning how to communicate.

“That it is okay to cry and ask for help, and that taking the time out to heal is crucial in life.
“The book speaks to that, finding love, healing, depression and communication,” he said.
The author said his passion for writing grew from watching and reading short stories, drama series, poems and books.
He wrote his first short story when he was in Grade Seven.
