City of Ekurhuleni DEMS is on high alert following the persistent showers across Gauteng with embedded thundershowers though not significant.
According to Willam Ntladi, district manager media liaison for DEMS, they are monitoring the weather closely to assist where and when necessary.

“The main concern is the low-lying areas and low-lying bridges prone to floods. Poor driving visibility and pooling of water on major roadsides is eminent,” he said.
